General Terms & Conditions - Air Conditioning Installation & Services

  • An 80% deposit is required upon acceptance of the quotation, with the remaining 20% payable upon practical completion. Work and equipment orders will only be scheduled once the deposit is received.
  • The quotation covers only the scope specifically stated. Any additional work, materials or requirements will be quoted separately.
  • For air-conditioning units 12,000 BTU or below, installation includes up to 5 metres of electrical cable to the nearest suitable existing plug point. Electrical supply and related electrical work for units above 12,000 BTU are excluded, unless specifically quoted.
  • Building work, plastering, painting, waterproofing, scaffolding, trenching, excavation, hired labour, specialised access equipment and civil work are excluded.
  • Existing electrical faults, inadequate supplies and required electrical upgrades are excluded.
  • Acceptance of the quotation confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Installation Pricing Terms

Price includes VAT and standard back-to-back ground-floor installation. Standard travel within 40 km of our service areas is included.

Service areas: Gauteng, Johannesburg, Pretoria & Rustenburg, North West.

Additional materials, labour or travel outside the standard installation will be charged separately. Supply only - price on request.

  • Additional copper piping
  • Additional electrical wiring
  • Armaflex
  • Extended drainage
  • Additional brackets or mounting
  • Core drilling / chasing
  • High-level or difficult-access installations
  • Non-standard installation requirements
  • Travel exceeding 40 km from our service base

Electrical Isolator

An electrical isolator is not included in the standard installation. The client may arrange their own qualified electrician, or RealFrost can recommend a qualified electrician upon request.

Warranty Notice

To maintain the validity of the warranty, the air conditioner may only be installed, serviced, repaired, removed or relocated by RealFrost or an authorised technician. Any work performed on the unit by an unauthorised company or technician may void the warranty.

To keep the warranty valid, the air conditioner must also be professionally serviced at least once or twice per year, depending on the frequency and intensity of use.

Regular servicing is essential to maintain the performance, efficiency and warranty of your air conditioner.

Heat Pumps

Heat pump / ice machine pricing is supply-only, or supply + installation - price on request following a site visit. Delivery/courier pricing on request.
